Working Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Phu Tho Province

Vahram Kazhoyan Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam had a working visit to Phu Tho province of Viet Nam, on August 9, 2023 and had a meeting with Mr. Phan Trong Tan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province.

The sides discussed the possibilities of development and deepening of cooperation in the spheres representing mutual interest between Armenia and Vietnam, in the spheres of trade, economy, industry, tourism and culture between regions of Armenia and provinces of Viet Nam, particularly Phu Tho province. The parties also exchanged ideas concerning the current situation in the regions and other issues.

Ambassador Kazhoyan presented the current dire humanitarian situation in Nagorno Karabakh, as a result of the illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan.

Mr. Phan Trong Tan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Phu Tho Province presented the most developed spheres, adding that the province pays attention to the recovery of ecosystem, and the development of the tourism sphere, which attracts foreign investors. Mr. Tan assigned the foreign affairs and planning and investment departments and other agencies of the Provincial People’s Committee to closely cooperate with the Embassy of Armenia and reaffirmed that Phu Tho province has created all the necessary favorable condition in the framework of the investment law for foreign, including Armenian enterprises, and foreign direct investment in the province.

During the visit to the Phu Tho Province, Ambassador Kazhoyan, also paid a visit to the Phu Ha Industrial Park. Covering an area of 356 hectares, the Industrial Park offers perfect industrial capacities. Within seven years since its opening, it has accommodated 27 companies and industries, including Toyota, Honda, Peugeot, BYD Electronics (producing the Apple iPads), Viglacera and others. Industrial Park's annual revenue is 850 mln. USD.
